HOUSE RULES:
From Bonaparte III House Rules :
PRUSSIA & AUSTRIA AS VASSALS: If France captures Berlin or Vienna then the Prussian
or Austrian player must act as a vassal of France. France cannot capture any more
territory from that nation (exception: Poland) but it may send French troops through their territory.
It is up to the Vassal nation how much they co-operate with the French. They may
just allow access, they may join forces with the French.
Vassal status is terminated if the capital is liberated by a foreign power.
If The Vassal wishes they may wish to stick with the French. If not they will need
to negotiate with their liberator over getting back their capital.
If both Prussia and Austria are vassals, the other nation is automatically "freed" too, if one nation is liberated by a foreign power.
SPAIN AS VASSAL: If Britain or France (or whoever else) captures Madrid then Spain
must become the vassal of that nation, much the same as the rule above.
GENERAL RULES:
NEW:-Disembarkations of land units per ships are just possible, if the transporting ship was (at least) one turn at (high) sea (excepting cities as bridgeheads of course) [this makes invasions in Britain very hard]
NEW:-It's not allowed to transfer money to the British player (no matter if as gifts or tariffs)
NEW:-For the british player it's not allowed to build railroads!
-Black clicking is banned. Using this trick eliminates the element of surprise and a lot of the fun that that brings!
-Stack size checking is permitted. Although you may not know the composition of your enemy, you may know roughly how big it is.
-It's not allowed to to buy any project AND to complete it in the same turn.
-Do not destroy Stackable.
-Do not sell building "Non-Combatants" and you have to rebuild non- combatans immediately after you conquered a city.
-No exchange / donation / purchase etc of technologies / units / cities.
-City swapping is permitted.
-No re-homing trade units.
-No sneak attacks. One turn peace after declaration of war.
-Trade embargo is allowed (Kontinentalsperre).
-You cannot build a new palace while you already have one.
-No founding of new cities, only reconstruction of existing ones that have been razed (though with "Non-Combatants" this will be hard!)
-Fortresses can be exchanged between nations (exception to rule as they are imovable!)
-No capture of asian Ottoman cities (including Constantinople)! (But it's allowed to beat osman units there to get veteran units)
-No feeding of cities with food caravans.
-All the other normal rules apply (IE no re-homing trade, ship chaining etc...)
-VICTORY CONDITIONS -> look below
I want to play with a slightly modified version:
- Event for a new spanish Kurasier unit (none-vet) every 4 turns.
- Worker gets alpine flag instead of movement of 2.
- Some coastal areas are not stackable any longer, especially in northern spain, northern france and southern england to make invasions there difficult.
- New distribution of OBJECTIVE CITIES.
- Every nation gets one barracks in its capital (France and Prussia one further).
- All offense stats increased by 2 (excepting units with attack value 0).
- Values of french infanterie increased
- Attack value of Partisans increased by 1 (to make them more valuable)
- One Fortress in some coastal cities added.
NEW:- All building costs of specific british land units raised by 50% and Britain is not able to build Horse Artilleries any longer
NEW:- Britain as the one and onliest has the trade-outcome-reducing techs Flight (now British Military and not Flying Artillery) and Railroad (as "British Trade Malus"; but it´s per Hause Rule forbidden to build Railroads!)
NEW:- Britain is able to build the Wonder "Horatio Nelson" (= Magellans Voyage)
THE GAME ENDS, IF...
- the last french city is fallen OR
- Paris is fallen AND the french player gives up OR
- all opponents of France give up OR
- January 1817 is reached (swedish turn).
VICTORY CONDITIONS:
To make the game more interesting, there will be special victory conditions, which have to be ALL fulfilled by a nation, if it wants to win
FRANCE:
- Easy - You win, if
a) all your opponents give up OR
b) you conquer the last enemy city OR
c) you reach 110 OBJECTIVES in January 1817 (including all objectives possessed by your allies and vassals!) [at the beginning of the scenario you have 30 objectives]
SPAIN:
- Have 8 cities more than at the beginning of the game
- You win/lose with your ally. (+the 8 cities more you need of course)
From the very beginning you are tight on French side, but you could change sides if France possesses any city on the Scandinavian Peninsula, in Russia or on the British isles. France could you attack at any time to secure its objectives (then the alliance would be broken of course).
ENGLAND:
- France mustn't win.
- Possess the wonders Corn Laws and Trade Union Congress
- Have the same (or more) cities you had at the beginning of the game. (exception: the three german cities can be replaced by three other cities)
SWEDEN:
- France mustn't win.
- Have 2 cities more than at the beginning of the game
PRUSSIA:
- France mustn't win.
- Be a stronger military power* than Austria.
AUSTRIA:
- France mustn't win.
- Be a stronger military power* than Prussia.
RUSSIA:
- France mustn't win.
- Be the strongest military power* of whole Europe.
*What means military power? You get per city and unit points: Per unit you get as much points as it shield rows costs, per city you get 300 points. For veteran units you get +50% points for this unit, for ships you get -50% points and no veteran bonus, for civil units (workers, traders, mercantmen, farmers) you get no points. You know exactly how much points the other nations at the beginning of the game have, but not during the game until it ends. That will boost some paranoia between Prussia, Austria and Russia I hope
