I often feel a bit guilty for posting in a German forum and not even bothering to try and learn the language but as the multiplayer community is so small I think players are welcome whatever language they speak. Most players here speak good English but I think it is important to make the effort to try and be concise when there is important info that must be understood clearly by all players. I understand German translations better when they are short and to the point and don't contain slang/colloquialisms so I try to apply this to my posts when the info is important. As you can see though I have a tendency to waffle on so I don't always practice what I preach

What do you think about the rule proposals/changes I outlined?

The problem is that I also feel a little guilty for mangling their language so horrendously with the translators.
I'm sure we've all at some point tried to translate a text back and forth for the hilarious results.

I've got no problems with the changes. Are we going to have a sort of role playing atmosphere with the points system or just a "end report" type thing going on here?

Edit: At most I've just been a lurker at cfc and apolyton, nothing more.

I was thinking about the points system to make it more interesting. I have little time now, but perhaps in the next days I will look again at the rules and come up with a set we can all agree on.

And like you said, we still need two more players, so there's no need to rush with the rules.

We are missing one player for the 3 lesser powers. As for the rules, I posted my questions/suggestions on the first page.... after you react I will draw up a final rules version and start.

I have never played a PBEM before, but I do think I know how to do it.
But i doubt I´ll pose much of a challenge to dedicated opponents.

I just yesterday thinking about how I have been playing this game for more than half of my life!

I recall playing First Strike V.1 when Nato was split in two part, I think this version is a lot more promising. One of my favourite scenarios of all time.

Edit: I will stick to this game no matter what, so you won´t have to go looking for a new player in a month or something.

I'm sorry to dissapoint you straight away, but I have very little time for another PBEM game. I will start this once I one of the games I am in dies off. For now, I know there is another great game starting: The age of imperialsim. I will, of course, bump this thread and start this up when I have more time, provided there's still interest. I hope, Ingvar, that you'll join other PBEMs and enjoy them as much as I am now.
