The Polish crown respects the territorial claims by our powerful neighbours, the Holy Roman Empire. Poland wishes to ask permission from the Pope to Christianise the Baltic pagans and to create the Kingdom of Poland-Lithuania.

The new pope is French and asumes the name Paschal II.
The Pope is sceptical to the notion of absorbing land of the Christian nations, including land of the heretic Eastern Church. Christian strength should be focused on fighting the infidels, and not Christians. Such incursions will be monitored closely by the Church.
The Pope even still blesses the Polish bid for a nordic crusade into the Baltics. This civilizing mission is neccessary to Christianize the baltic people. But do not go beyond the land of the Pagans!

Do you really find it fair that Germany would take all of Scandinavia+Venice, England Scotland+Wales+Ireland+all of the Mediterranean, Poland all of Russia, Hungary all of the Balcans, Spain all of Ibera and France only the puny city of Rennes? I'm not saying this as the Pope, but as the King of France. I demand that the big nations renegotiate that treaty and either withdraw their demands, or include France in the proposal.
Like I said, Pope Paschal II will be hard, but fair. I will not use Papal powers unless I absolutely have to. This Pope wants to defeat the infidels and protect the True Believers.

I have never implied that Poland should take all of Russia, ever. Our expansionist aims in the long term included at most Pskov, Dunaberg and Grodno. I feel like that is very little asked, since they are not contested my any other major power. I do not find it fair everybody should get everything, but I find it unfair that a country who I wanted most to be the Pope (after myself, of course) is now dictating my expansion and ignoring others' expansion, too. Just go look at the claims that the Normans and the HRE have made and compare them to mine. The Holy Roman Empire is planning to conquer the completely Catholic Kingdom of Denmark! We voted for France, because of their devotion to Christ and for us to be friends with you. The Polish crown does admittedly feel offended when our friendship is thrown back with disdain. Sure, be hard and fair, but be so universally, not only to those who are weaker and not neighbours of your Kingdom. I hope the French King and Pope Paschal II may forgive Poland for their anger, but also understand that her premise is justified.
