I put the event file into the scenario folder but got an error message when I loaded the game. I will try and find out what the problem is using the @DEBUG command.

Just tried it again after dragging and dropping the hotseat save onto the delevent icon and I still get the error message. To test if the events work I started my turn, saved, renamed the file to .sav and loaded it up in single player then emptied my capital of troops and created a Skern unit with which I captured the city. There was no event! This would suggest to me that none of the events are now working. Could you send me the event file you are using again just in case there was a mix up.
Ok, I think I fixed it after running a debug. I cut out two events, both IFUNITKILLED commands for a "High Jaarl Volki", a unit that doesn't currently exist.

Hmm, I think some of the events got messed up by resetting due to the change of event files.
Wouldn't the easiest way to have fixed this to simply cheat away the alliance?

If I remember correctly, the MAKEAGGRESSION command changes relations to war automatically, which would move our trade ships from where they are now, regardless of whether we have an alliance or not. If we didn't change the events, the only way to counteract this with cheat mode would be to declare war early, and place any moved ships back to where they were before war was declared in the same turn...which works, but it's easier to cut 10 lines from the Events than keep track of all those ships.

It really only seems to be the breaking of the alliance that shifts units around, not the declaration of war itself, at least that's how it works on single player.
Anyway, I'm no longer receiving any Kozzarks, I tried the new events on single player and there wasn't any problems then, so I suspect the events might have reset and I have to reconquer my cities again or something.
When I played the first turn after the event change all the text popups appeared again one after the other so I think it may have reset everything.
