Rome is victorious! The full riches of the Nile are now open to the Republic.
Ptolemaic forces still remain in upper Egypt, but with the conquest of Alexandria and Memphis the last heir to the empire of Alexander the great is now a part of Rome.
As soon as the region has been properly organized into a functioning province, I shall return to Rome to ask the Senate for a triumph and that they bestow the victory title of Aegyptiacus to my son, Publius Licinius Crassus, who played a vital and decisive role in the Ptolemiac campaign.

Ceasar's Army suffered a devastating defeat! Numerous rebellions took place against the wintering Roman army. Armed peasants of the Gaul have decimated Roman legions, killed at least one prominent general and took back 3 important cities. Will Caesar recover after this twist of fate? The conquest of Gaul, assured even a month ago, now has been put on hold for unknown time.
