    Ich hab mit dem keine Probleme.

    edit: Nach dem ich das Spiel nochmal mit der CD drin gestartet hat, hat es geklappt. Danke für eure Hilfe.

    Wenn ich auf das Destop-Bild schaue, nehme ich 10 und mehr Punkte uaf dem Bidl war, eh ich anfange die Fehlermeldung zu sehen.

    Wine 1.4 ist auch schon alt. Mittlerweile gibt es sogar schon die neue stabile Version 1.6. Meistens schadet ein Update auf eine aktuellere Version nicht.

    Bei Civ solltest du mal gucken, ob es auf dem letzten Patch-Stand ist. Das müsste 3.19 (BTS) sein. (ich habe übrigens nur BTS am laufen und kann zu den anderen nichts sagen).

    Bei mir läuft Civilization 4 unter Wine 1.4.1. Seit ich mit winetricks msxmlr3.dll installiert habe, geht es problemlos. - Vorher gab es beim Starten oder Laden eines Spiels meist einen Absturz, aber nicht immer; wenn es das erste Mal ging, war es auch noch bis zum normalen Programmende möglich...
    Übrigens läuft auch BASE 5.4 (K)!

    Wenn BTS startet, sollte auch Base laufen. Das einzige, was Probleme machen kann, die DLL, macht auch bei BTS Probleme.

    Ab heute ist Base 5.4 L aktuell.

    Habe gerade Civ 4 BtS auf meiner frischen Lubuntu-13.10-Installation auf Wine 1.74 installiert (komischerweise hatten Warlords und BtS - nicht aber das Grundspiel - als ich sie letzte Woche meinem Mitbewohner, der einen recht neuen Win-8-Laptop hat, ausgeliehen habe Stunden zum installieren gebraucht, hier war es wieder eine Sache von Minuten - am längsten dauerte es, den Patch runterzuladen) ohne bislang in der winecfg oder mit winetricks rumzuspielen, startete ohne Probleme (ins Hauptmenü kam ich jedenfalls ), aber die Schrift sah anders aus...

    Bei Wine wurde vor kurzem etwas an der msxml3-Implementierung verbessert (siehe diesen Bug). Kann sein, dass man jetzt nicht mehr das native braucht. Habe es aber selbst noch nicht getestet.

    Ein, zwei Macken hat es doch noch: ein neues Spiel zu starten lieferte erstmal einen schwarzen Bildschirm, aber alle Menüs waren da. Gespeichert, geladen, es ging wunderbar. Seitdem stürzt es mir allerdings jedes Mal beim Versuch zu laden ab…

    Hm, der Absturz könnte mit dieser msxml-Bib zu tun haben. Kannst ja diese installieren, wie es schon auf Seite 1 vorgeschlagen wurde. Vielleicht ist es auch ein Problem mit dem 3D-Treiber, welches das Spiel abstürzen lässt?! Ich würde „winetricks d3dx9“ ausprobieren. ( http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks_de )
    Vielleicht hilft auch die Installation einer neueren (oder älteren?) DirectX-Version.

    Also, in WineHQ stehen unter confirmed (die Info ist allerdings veraltet) msvcr71 und msxml3, keine der beiden ändert etwas an meinem Problem.
    winetricks d3dx9 hat mir die ganzen DLLs von 24 bis 43 unter Default reingeschrieben, ich habe sie manuell noch mal allesamt zu den Settings für Civ 4 selbst geschoben…

    Hat überhaupt nichts gebracht, abstürzen tut es trotzdem beim Laden.
    Beim ersten Versuch tat es das jedenfalls. Ich wollte die Fehlermeldung rauskopieren, hatte sie aber nicht erwischt, starte das Spiel also neu. Diesmal stürzte es sofort ab. Huch! Nächster Versuch, ich komme wieder ins Hauptmenü, es lädt mal wieder meinen einzigen Speicherstand… und lädt diesmal tatsächlich. Bisher hatte es immerhin bis auf den ersten Versuch der magischerweise klappt immer dasselbe getan, nämlich genau hier und nirgendwo anders abzustürzen…

    Wie verhält sich das im weiteren?
    Versuch 4: stürzt wieder beim Spiel laden ab.

    Ich selber kann damit leider eher wenig anfangen - von 32-Bit-Code sagt er in der obersten Zeile was… Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass es daran liegt, mein betreffender Rechner ist eine alte Möhre, der läuft selbst mit 32 Bit

    Ich werde die momentan unter Winecfg/Civ4BeyondSword.exe/Library stehenden Sachen noch mal aufräumen da sie nichts verändert haben und diese hier noch mal ausprobieren...

    Civ verhält sich unvorhersehbar. Ich glaube, das ist auch auf Windows z.T. der Fall.

    Probier es mal mit der nativen msxml3r.dll. An DirectX sollte es eigentlich nicht liegen. Und überhaupt ist der Eintrag bei Wine sehr alt und die Informationen dort entsprechend überholt.

    Leider auch nicht die Lösung. Tatsächlich verändert keine dieser 4 irgendetwas. Jedes Mal (5 Versuche) schmierte er mir dieses Mal bei Setup Map ab…

    Edit: ich habe mal bei Winehq Strg+F gedrückt und die Kommentare nach "Setup Map" durchsucht, und siehe da, ein berühmter Civver () hatte auch damit zu kämpfen:

    Und da haben wir das Problem. Etwas anders umrahmt da es ein, zwei Jährchen her ist, Wine schon ein paar Versionen weiter ist als damals und ich kein Playonlinux habe, im Kern aber dasselbe. Mit der aktuellen Wine-Version brauche ich nach meinem bisherigen Erkenntnisstand die meisten der DLLs gar nicht, aber die native msxml3 ist Pflicht. Und genau die war wohl kaputt. Und weil sie die ganze Zeit auf "native, builtin" statt nur "native" stand wurde sie übergangen, dann ist ständig die builtin gelaufen und ich habe es nicht gemerkt und dachte, das läge wohl an was anderem. Jetzt scheint es zu klappen!

    Ich necro den Thread einfach mal:

    Mein Problem ist die Performance unter Linux/wine auf zwei verschiedenen Systemen. Selbst unter minimalen Einstellungen habe ich irgendwie ~1 Fps. Vollbild oder Fenster ist egal.

    Beide Systeme laufen unter Archlinux mit entsprechend aktuellen Softwareversionen. Ich habe die entsprechenden winetricks von https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManag...sion&iId=10158 gemacht. Es ging nicht alles auf Anhieb, da waren ein paar 404er dabei, aber ich hatte es rech schnell funktionstuechtig. Auf beiden systemen laeuft KDE ohne irgendwelches compositing.

    System 1 hat ne Radeon mit dem open source Treibern. System 2 integrierte Intel Ivy Bridge Grafik. Fuer beide sollte Civ4 ein Kinderspiel sein.

    Ich bin fuer alle moeglichen Vorschlaege dankbar.
