I wouldn't worry too much about the ERE, they've got rich cities and a good defensive position.
They will initially only have to worry about the Goths who in turn will be getting a lot of pressure from the Huns.

McM is Vandals, not Huns.
I will play when the events have been sorted out.
Hmm, I'm not sure I've got the right version. I looked at the event files but I can't see any event giving the barbarians free units in 8 turn intervals, only one time re-enforcement to simulate the Visigoth conquest of Iberia or the Vandal conquest of North Africa.

I'll be the Persians, I suppose.
So I´ll take HUNs
Wenn du tot bist, dann weißt du nicht, dass du tot bist, es ist nur schwer für die anderen. Genau so ist es, wenn du blöd bist.
I pity those poor Western Romans So who goes first now, Cobra?

Sorry for holding this one up.

A Roman War galley is captured in the sack of Aquileia.
Not much is captured in the sack of Milano, it seems the West Roman Empire does not have many riches to plunder.
The Roman garrisons in the Alps, having trusted on supplies from Milan and Aquileia, starve and die in the following winter.
Sirmium has it's small garrison swept away by Gothic Horsemen.

Vandal warbands raid at will across the Western Roman Empire. Aquincum on the Danube, provincial capital of Pannonia falls to raiding Quadi and Vandals. On the Rhine Moguntiacum (Mainz) falls. In Gaul Lugdunum and Arelate (Arles) fall to Marcomani and Alemanni raiders who acquire a small fleet of Roman Galleys.
All of Britain fall to the Angels and Saxons.
Trier falls to the Franks
Failed to realize this one started, my apologies:
The East Roman Empire stands ready to repel any invaders.
