The USA announce that we use the Airbase between the great lakes in Sweden to support our troops in Finland. This will be permanent.

The house rules state that Sweden is neutral and may not be attacked under any circumstances. This means you cannot use Sweden as an airbase! If you want to support your forces in Finland you will have to fly your airplanes off of Carriers!

Just a note here, no need to make a major issue: Any invasion of a neutral country or violation of their territory should be announced. Even in the 1930's news traveled fast! Its fair enough to secretly send units through allied nations territory but AI controlled nations cannot consent to such things.

In this case during my next post I´ll send them back to the west from where they started. So I don´t have to replay

That's fine. If you check the diplomatic house rules you will see that some countries are neutral but can be attacked whilst others are neutral and cannot be attacked under any circumstances. If I recall correctly Sweden and Switzerland are two such countries. I may change this in the next version, but for now the rules stand.

The war in Romania continues with intensive fighting along the coast of the Black Sea. Galati is bombed and then captured (1 bunker killed, 1 bomber lost) and the Soviet Navy bombards the coast to the south of Galati (1 infantry killed), the Soviet airforce also enters the action shooting down 2 fighter planes.

Rumours that the Romanian Army is retreating is confirmed when the Soviets liberate Zhitomir, finding that Romanian troops had fled.

In Denmark 1 British AA Regiment and 1 Infantry Brigade destroyed as well as a damaged Cruiser off the coast.

In Italy:

The Soviet Navy bombards Rome, 6 battleship units are used, then Russian tanks and infantry finish off the defences and capture the city. As promised, the city is immediately handed over to British control and all Soviet troops are forbidden from entering the Vatican.



Italian Casualties:

-1 tank
-2 transport ships
-2 or 3 fighter planes

In the Balkans:

2 infantry and 1 partizan are shot down near Debrezen, no other news

@Alcibaides, you missed one bomber for the losses. One less infantry if you didn't go for any other cities.
@McM, as I remembered, Rome didn't have the coastal fortress, but was nevertheless vunerable from the sea. I hope'd correct it for the next version.

Italy May, 1940
Rome is lost, but the war goes on. Mussolini escapes to Milan with the help of German paratroopers and re-establishes a working goverment.
At the same time Italian pilots originating from Lacio have undergone on a suicide run to bomb the enemy forces entering Rome at their leisure
1 Soviet battleship, 1 Soviet aircraft carrier and 2 more soviet ships, identified probably as batteships are sunk near Rome.
