For some reason Civ II always crashes when I try to start a new scenario. This seems never to happen when I load a save game, only when I start a new scenario.
This has never happened before in more than a decade of Civing. I have no clue as to what the cause might be.
To be precise, it always crashes when I get to the part of choosing the Civ leaders name. I somehow got past that, by not hitting enter and using the mouse to click the ok button.
Then I tried to change a cities name, and the game instantly crashed.

I think we could get the game going again, if Cobra and Jerec are still around.
I stroll this place almost daily, I'd like to break the deadlock. But Cobra and Jerec should come forward first. I'd like to feel confident when jumping in.
