Defection, Mass Defection & Wholesale Defection
251. When using these cards on a square where several enemy figures stand, you choose which figure(s) you want to kill, if for example, some of these figures have more movement to spend than other figures on this square.
252*. If 2 or more players want to use a Defection card at the same moment, you simply consider that all the cards are played simultaneously. So, for example, if ever player A moves his figure and reaches a distance of 4 squares from player B figure, and both of them want to use their level 1 Defection card to defect the other player’s figure, then both Defection cards are considered to be played and so both figures will be defected. So, it is allowed to react to a Defection by also playing a Defection, this haves for result that both Defection will function. Turn order doesn’t matter.
Defection & Mass Defection
253*. You can use Defection and Mass Defection at their maximum range to avoid a battle, a taking of a Hut, Relic, an economic victory (if a Scout is moving on a square with a coin), etc. For example, player A is at 4 squares of player B City, and player C army is at 2 squares of player B City but at 6 squares of player A army. Player C moves his army and attack the City of player B. Player A can use a level 1 Defection to kill the army before the battle occurs. If player C had several Armies moving on that square, then he can decides to change the move of the remaining Army (or Armies), meaning he can still attack the player B City (with one less Army), or move elsewhere. These remaining Armies still have the same amount of movements left, like if they didn’t moved to the City square. For example, if player C had 2 Armies with a travel speed of 2 moving to Player B City at 2 squares distance, and player A uses a level 1 Defection on the City square, then the player C remaining Army would be at 1 square from player B City and would still have one move to spend, meaning he can still attack the City if he want to, or simply move elsewhere.
